Polish and foreign books are located on the 2nd floor in room 129.

The sets are arranged by fields according to the Universal Decimal Classification. Most of the books published after 1995 are listed here. The collections are grouped into nine sections, each of which is marked with a different color of the divider. Each splitter contains a detailed domain symbol and its word equivalent. The departments include:

  • 0 – General department (including IT) – yellow colour
  • 1 – Philosophy. Psychology – blue colour
  • 2 – Religion. Theology – golden colour
  • 3 – Social Sciences. Law. Administration – pink colour
  • 5 – Mathematics. Life sciences – purple colour
  • 6 – Applied science. Medicine. Technical studies. Agriculture – burgundy
  • 7 – Art. Entertainment Sport – navy blue
  • 8 – Linguistics. The study of literature. Belles-lettres – grey colour
  • 9 – Archeology. Geography. Biographies. History – orange colour

Each section is divided into further, more detailed subsections. Books are listed alphabetically in the section.

The information collection consists of: encyclopedias, dictionaries, guides, handbooks, company catalogs and conference materials (location of the collection: 2nd floor, the so-called „circle”).

Polish and foreign magazines and journals in the printed version from the last five years are made available on site in the Journals Division (top floor of the Library). Many Polish scientific journals are published in English.
Older yearbooks are kept in storerooms, and orders for making them available should be placed with the librarian on duty.

There is no traditional division into reading rooms in the Library. Books and journals can be used in any place designated for this purpose. After use, books and journals should be left on the tables.
